Once in Pagosa Springs, we went tubing for a bit, but unfortunately, I took a tumble over a rapid and gashed my knee open.
This turned out to be strangely fortuitous in ending the tubing, as we would take a long time reaching Mesa Verde, and only arrive 
in Telluride to sleep late in the night.
