Day 13 - Auckland and Departure
We awoke relatively late, packed up and checked out, then parked our vehicle in public parking to explore the downtown area on foot. I was looking for a matching Nephrite necklace
for Jen, and we stopped at several Jade places before finding one she liked. Then we hit a number of other souveneir places before stopping a Arthur's Park to enjoy the weather.
Around 2 pm, we met up with Ashley and Nick again, the latter apparently having gotten them somewhat lost.
From there, we headed out to a butterfly house by the airport. It also had crocodiles and a petting farm, which we toured as well. The butterflies were colorful and energetic,
and the literature a little more forward about "butterfly farms" from which they purchased than some other places. The had some milkshakes, and around 4 pm went to the airport,
where we checked in and departed. The flight into San Francisco was largely pleasant, although I'd put the Lunesta in the checked luggage, and as a result, didn't sleep quite as
soundly as I generally do on these things.
